USRG Mesoamerica

With offices in Mexico City and Guatemala City, USRG is actively seeking wind, hydroelectric, solar, geothermal, biomass, biogas, waste-to-energy and combined heat and power projects throughout Central America, Mexico and the Caribbean.

A significant imbalance exists between energy supply and demand across the region. Development of new generation capacity has lagged behind demand growth for the last decade, leading to reduced reserve margins, reliance on expensive and inefficient technology, and high and volatile power prices. Additionally, in many countries, access to reliable energy is limited, restricting economic development. Renewable energy is often the lowest cost technology and, unlike other markets globally, does not generally rely upon subsidies to compete with conventional generation.
