Kefu Fu

Dr. Fu is a Senior Advisor based in China. He has more than 10 years of consulting and business development experience in China's technology, healthcare and financial sectors. Before joining USRG in 2010 he was a partner at Asia Pacific Technology Group and President of The Dexterity Company (TDC), each a consulting practice specializing in strategy, marketing and business development in Asian/Chinese markets with clients ranging from Fortune 500 companies to private equity/venture capital firms. Dr. Fu also served as Head of China at WellPoint, one of the largest global insurance companies and a Fortune-50 company, and oversaw its market entry into China. Dr. Fu holds an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management as a distinguished Venture Fellow, a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Clemson University, which he earned with honors while covering research topics related to carbon material energy applications, fuel cells and energy storage, and a B.S. degree in Applied Chemistry from Tongji University in Shanghai. He has authored more than 20 peer-reviewed publications on carbon in journals such as Accounts of Chemical Research (ACR) and Journal of American Chemical Society (JACS), and is a regular guest speaker at both the American Chemical Society and the American Physical Society annual meetings.

Adrian Escofet

Mr. Escofet is a senior advisor based in Mexico City. Mr. Escofet has been the CEO of Zapoteca de Energia, the renewable energy division of Mar Industrias S.A. de C.V., which has developed 160 MW of wind and hydroelectric projects in Mexico. Mr. Escofet also serves as the Chairman of the Mexican Association of Wind Energy (AMDEE) and as a Board Member for the Council for Renewable Energy of the Ministry of Energy and for the Consultative Council of the Energy Regulatory Commission of Mexico. Prior to these roles, Mr. Escofet served as development director for Alesco Energia y Agua, CEO of Ingenieria Mexicana Incorporada and engineer for the Mexican Federal Electricity Commission (CFE).

Alejandro Violante

Alejandro Violante

Mr. Violante is a senior advisor based in Mexico City specializing in project finance, M&A and project structuring. He has actively participated in many significant infrastructure projects in Mexico and Latin America representing financial structuring of over $8 billion. He was the Project Finance Director of Bufete Industrial, one of the leading EPC firms in Latin America for several decades. He has served as Managing Director of Investment Banking and Project Finance at leading international and national financial institutions, including Dresdner Bank, Inverlat, and Monex among others. Recently, he served in the cabinet within the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, which was responsible for the planning of 90% of the federal government investment on infrastructure in Mexico and was a member of the $9 billion Committee of National Infrastructure Fund.
