Naynika Chaubey

Naynika Chaubey

Ms. Chaubey is an Associate based in Los Angeles. She joins USRG after leading the project finance division at Wirsol Solar Americas, a subsidiary of international solar developer Wirsol AG. Her responsibilities at Wirsol included securing third-party financing for Wirsol’s US and Caribbean solar projects, and co-leading corporate strategy and development in the Americas. Prior to joining Wirsol, Ms. Chaubey was the VP of Finance at SoCore Energy, a Chicago-based solar EPC company, where she structured and secured tax equity and debt financing for the company’s portfolio of commercial projects. Prior to joining the solar industry, Ms. Chaubey ran quantitative research for a securitization team at Bear Stearns.

Ms. Chaubey has an AB in Physics from Princeton University.

Matthew Ippolito

Matthew Ippolito

Mr. Ippolito is an Associate based in Los Angeles. Prior to USRG, Mr. Ippolito was one of the first employees of Element Markets, a renewable energy project developer and emissions trading firm in Houston. At Element Markets, Mr. Ippolito valued, structured and arranged financing for the company’s portfolio of projects and supported its strategy efforts. Mr. Ippolito’s renewable energy experience covers acquisitions and various stages of development, spanning across wind, solar and biogas technologies.

Mr. Ippolito holds an MBA from the University of Michigan where he graduated with honors and a BA from Yale University.

William Stinehart

William Stinehart

Mr. Stinehart is a Legal Associate based in the Los Angeles office. Prior to USRG, Mr. Stinehart worked at Latham & Watkins, LLP in Los Angeles focusing on corporate governance and intellectual property related corporate matters. Mr. Stinehart also co-authored the California chapter of the journal Business Torts: A Fifty State Guide from 2007-2009. In 2010, Mr. Stinehart was awarded the Wiley W. Manuel Award for Pro Bono Legal Services, presented by the State Bar of CA Board of Governors for Mr. Stinehart’s reform of Southern California juvenile hall policies and practices.

Mr. Stinehart holds a JD from Columbia Law School, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. He received a BA in Psychology with a minor in Human Biology from Stanford University.

Ben Stone

Ben Stone

Mr. Stone is an Associate based in Los Angeles, having joined USRG in 2011. Prior to joining USRG, Mr. Stone worked in the leveraged and acquisition finance group at HSBC in London. At HSBC, Mr. Stone originated and structured loans for infrastructure projects, leveraged buyouts and corporate acquisitions. Mr. Stone closed on over $65 billion in debt raises, including deals for companies in the energy transmission, metals and mining, natural gas pipeline and storage and oil field services businesses. Mr. Stone also spent time working with the energy storage startup Energy Cache.

Mr. Stone holds an MBA from The Anderson School of Business at UCLA and a BA in Economics UCSB.
