Derek Bacon

Derek Bacon

Mr. Bacon is the Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer based in Los Angeles. Mr. Bacon is responsible for accounting and finance of USRG's management company, as well as its private equity funds, including the general partner and portfolio investment holding related entities. Mr. Bacon also manages several aspects of operations, investor reporting and transaction analysis and structuring. Prior to joining USRG, Mr. Bacon was the co-founder and Chief Financial Officer of two technology companies and was involved in all aspects of accounting, finance, operations, marketing and development of the enterprises. Prior to these endeavors, Mr. Bacon was a Senior Auditor in the Audit and Business Advisory Practice at Arthur Andersen LLP.

Mr. Bacon holds a BS in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting and Finance from the University of California, Riverside where he graduated magna cum laude. Mr. Bacon is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of California.

William Stinehart

William Stinehart

Mr. Stinehart serves as General Legal Counsel with a specialization in Securities Exchange Commission compliance requirements. Prior to USRG, Mr. Stinehart worked at Latham & Watkins, LLP in Los Angeles focusing on corporate governance and intellectual property related corporate matters. Mr. Stinehart also co-authored the California chapter of the journal entitled Business Torts: A Fifty State Guide from 2007-2009. In 2010, Mr. Stinehart was awarded the Wiley W. Manuel Award for Pro Bono Legal Services, presented by the State Bar of CA Board of Governors for Mr. Stinehart’s reform of Southern California juvenile hall policies and practices.

Mr. Stinehart holds a JD from Columbia Law School, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. He received a BA in Psychology with a minor in Human Biology from Stanford University.
